The aims of the International Union of Biorefinery Research are to be the international network of biorefinery scientists in (a) promoting global cooperation in biorefinery-related research and enhances the understanding of the ecological, economic and social aspects of sustainable development, (b) disseminating scientific knowledge to decision-makers and contributes to sustainable development policy, and (c) strengthening public awareness science-based sustainable development of the world for economic, environmental and social benefits and promoting biorefinery eduation in the widest sense.
